HUBBALLI: Irked by the number of political rallies and frequent visits of VVIPs like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Union minister Nitin Gadkari and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy, some citizens of Hubballi-Dharwad have launched an online campaign demanding a ban on political events in city limits.

In an online poll conducted on HubliCity-eGroup, a Facebook page, 320 members supported a ban, while 10 favoured such rallies. The forum has about 25,000 participants.
