Alleged California Pimp Writes Erotica, Calls Herself a Feminist
A California woman who has been arrested and charged with crimes stemming from an alleged prostitution ring is also an erotica writer and calls herself a feminist.
Fay Ruth Romesburg, 59, is accused of running a 150-woman prostitution ring less than 50 miles north of San Francisco with her son. The duo was charged with pimping and pandering according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
In a twist, Romesburg is also the author of such titles as The Kinky Feminist, and Extreme Space: The Domination and Submission Handbook, which are available on Amazon. Her bio on the site says she “has written and published more than 2,000 nonfiction tutorials, novels, short stories, poetry and screenplays in the past 20 years.”

In an interview with The Press Democrat, Romesburg revealed that she penned the titles under the pseudonym F. R. R. Mallory and says she is concerned about women’s place in the world.
“I’m deeply concerned about female empowerment and female sexual empowerment,” Romesburg told the Santa Rosa, California, newspaper from jail. “We need to stop treating these women as victims. They are highly intelligent and educated.”
Romesburg has denied the charges but she and her son have not yet entered pleas in court. Romesburg also said she is against laws that prohibit prostitution, calling them a “continued assault on women’s rights.”
Romesburg and her son David Scott Romesburg, 38, were arrested last month. The son also faces charges of human trafficking and money laundering — which his mother called “political” and “ridiculous,” according to The Press Democrat.
Police said they were tipped off about the ring when an apartment manager for a complex in Rohnert Park became suspicious the pair was using their rented to set up “appointments” with men.
“Ads were located on the internet offering massage services in Rohnert Park, which stated the services included nude massages and ‘upgrades’ were available,” the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety told the San Francisco Chronicle.
Police sent an undercover cop to procure a massage where he was offered sex acts in exchange for money.
The pair is being held in Sonoma County Jail with the son’s bail set at $250,000 bail and the mother’s bail set at $245,000.
