High school is a time period that adults often look back on with joy of glory years or angst.????I went to a different high school every year and graduated in 3.
I wouldn’t think of looking back without the help of a therapist.????However hard the social part of high school is, according to Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. the actual responsibility a student takes for their education and having good reading and writing skills is the best predictor of future success. ????In fact, these indicators are greater than IQ or their socioeconomic background.????The US based study began in 1960 with 346,660 high school students.
They followed up with over 80,000 students 11 years later, and 50 years later they talked to 1,952 students and asked them about their study habits and discipline at school.????Dr.
Marion Spengler, the head author of the study said quote: .“This study highlights the possibility that certain behaviors at crucial periods could have long-term consequences for a person’s life.”????So, stay in school because it turns out that obviously, your parents are right...your career as a student is important,????Unless of course, you want to stay in their basement indefinitely for free.??
