Domestic help caught for theft of valuables worth Rs 1.25 lakh

Rajkot: A female thief was arrested on Wednesday for committing stealing cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.25 lakh and 1,000 American dollars from the house of Dr Kanta Vaid in Sardarnagar area of Bhavnagar. Police identified the accused as Nita Bambhania (35), a resident of Tilaknagar area in Bhavnagar. The crime was committed between January 7 and January 13, when the house was locked and the occupants were out attending a marriage function. Bambhania worked as a domestic help at the house.
