The mortal remains of actor Sridevi, draped in the Tricolour, were cremated in Vile Parle, Mumbai after being taken in a procession from the Celebrations Sports Club in Lokhandwala.
She was accorded a state funeral with gun salute, an acknowledgement for her contribution in the field of performing arts.
Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and her stepson Arjun Kapoor accompanied the body.

The actor's fans queued up outside the Celebrations Sports Club near her residence in Lokhandwala, where her body was kept for public viewing.
Fans holding flowers and chanting prayers were in line as the body was brought to the venue at 9 a.m. by her family members.
Nearly 200 policemen were present at the venue.
The gates were opened for the general public only after 10 a.m. Fans from across the country started queuing up to pay their last respects to the “Chandni” star since 6 a.m.

Chaotic scenes at Sridevi’s residence as body arrives in Mumbai
As the ambulance carrying the mortal remains of Sridevi entered her residence in suburban Andheri at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a large number of fans jostled for a glimpse of the actor.
Both sides of the road leading to Sridevi’s ‘Green Acres’ residence were crowded. Some even climbed the trees for a clear view.

The ambulance, escorted by three police vehicles, brought the body home from the airport soon after it arrived from Dubai where she died on Saturday last.
The Dubai Public Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday afternoon put an end to speculation about the cause of her death, saying she accidentally drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room following loss of consciousness, and that the “case is now closed.”
Family members, including her husband Boney Kapoor and stepson Arjun Kapoor, brought her body in a private plane from Dubai.
