Market Now: BSE Capital Goods index down nearly 1%; Thermax, NBCC among top losers
ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Axis Bank and Adani Ports were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
NEW DELHI: The BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.75 per cent down at 19,056 around 12:50 pm (IST) on Wednesday, with shares of Carborundum Universal (down 2.18 per cent), Schaeffler India (down 1.89 per cent) and Thermax (down 1.71 per cent) as the top losers.

Shares of AIA Engineering (down 1.64 per cent), GE T&D India (down 1.31 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 1.11 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 1.11 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 0.99 per cent), Siemens (down 0.97 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 0.96 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 0.95 per cent) and Suzlon Energy (down 0.85 per cent) were also in the red in the index.

However, shares of Graphite India (up 4.99 per cent), Mahindra CIE Automotive (up 1.91 per cent), Finolex Cables (up 0.44 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 0.42 per cent), BEML (up 0.31 per cent) and Welspun Corp (up 0.17 per cent) were in the green in the index around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 60 points down at 10,494, while the BSE Sensex was 164 points down at 34,182.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Infosys, Dr Reddy's Labs and Hero MotoCorp were among the gainers in the Sensex index.

However, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Axis Bank and Adani Ports were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
