Vadodara: Baroda all-rounder Krunal Pandya has been selected for the India A team that will play in the Deodhar Trophy. The tournament will be played at Dharamshala from March 4 to March 8.
The 26-year-old cricketer put up a decent performance for Baroda in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. Baroda reached quarter-finals of the trophy but lost to Saurashtra.
Krunal scored 212 runs from the seven matches in the tournament with his highest score being 84 runs. He also bagged six wickets.
He had a good outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last year too. Having made a comeback from an injury, he had a good run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in last season too.
Another all-rounder Atit Sheth has been picked for the Rest of India squad that will play in Irani Trophy. Sheth has played 10 first-class matches for Baroda and scored 406 runs. He also bagged 41 wickets.
