NEW DELHI: Indian Off-spinner R Ashwin has been chosen as captain of the India ‘A’ team for Deodhar trophy tournament. The decision has been taken by national selection committee. The matches will get start in Dharamsala from March 4-8.

On the other hand, player Shreyas Iyer has been selected as ‘B’ team captain of India whereas third squad in the tournament is Vijay Hazare Champions Karnataka headed by Karun Nair.
India A Side has included U-19 players Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw.
The committee has also chosen Umesh Yadav in the team for Deodhar Trophy games. The player didn’t get chance to play against South Africa in the recently held ODIs and T20. Indian Bowler Mohammed Shami has also been chosen in the squad.
They also took decision about the squad for Irani Cup, which is to be held in Nagpur from March 14-18.
Players Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi have not been chosen this time.
