Regime airstrikes continue in Syria despite UN's ceasefire call

Regime airstrikes and shell-firing continued in Eastern in with no signs of stoppage despite Security Council's call for a 30-day ceasefire, according to Syrian civil defense sources, the White Helmets.

One civilian was killed and scores were injured when the fresh airstrikes and artillery shells loyal to Syria's Russian-backed regime were fired into Eastern Ghouta's Douma, Bayt Sava, and al-Marj regions at around 10.30 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, the White Helmets said in a statement.

On Monday, Russian said would introduce a daily humanitarian pause in Eastern from February 27 by the order of for the citizens to leave the war-ravaged
