Bengali minor girl rescued

Calangute: Calangute police on Tuesday rescued a minor girl who had been kidnapped from West Bengal.

PI Jivba Dalvi said they received information from Kumarganj police station that a girl had allegedly been kidnapped by Minajur Mondal, resident of West Bengal. Photos of the accused and victim had also been shared.


On Tuesday the police located where the duo was staying at Calangute. The accused escaped with the girl when the police reached the spot. They were later located at Calangute bus stand where the accused was nabbed and the girl rescued in the presence of an NGO. She has been lodged at Apna Ghar, Merces. tnn
