Tata Steel will celebrate the 179th birth anniversary of its founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, from March 2, with the inaugural of illumination of Jubilee Park and other important arteries of the city. Like previous years, all divisions of the company as well as other Tata Group companies based in Jamshedpur, will pay homage to the founder on March 3. The celebrations reinforce commitment to the vision, ideals and values of the great visionary who paved the way for the development of an industrial India.
The illumination at the Founder's statue in Jubilee Park and lighting of the park will be done at 6:30 pm on March 2. It will be open for public viewing from March 3 to March 5 from 6 pm to 10 pm. Simultaneous illumination of Bhetiya Park, Kadma, Nildih Park, Nildih and Bhuiyadih Park, Bhuiyadih, Sir Dorabji Tata Park along with Jubilee Park for wider access to everyone in the city.
Ashish Mathur, managing director, Jusco said that special attraction will be Laser Beam Show at Beldih Lake with smoke as a screen. “Till last year we had a graphical laser show but this year we will have a Beam Show along with Laser,” he noted.
With the support of the citizens of Jamshedpur and the Local Administration, a spectacular pageantry will be organised in front of the Founder’s Statue near Main Post Office, Bistupur, at 10.00 am. The pageantry will include tableaus from Associate Companies, Social Organisations, Jamshedpur Armed Force (JAP) and Rapid Action Force (RAF). Approximately 2000 participants will take part in the pageantry.
Kulvin Suri, chief, corporate communications Tata Steel informed that this year also there will be special laser shows and musical fountain from March 3 to March 5with usual charges as applicable.
For the last three years all the floats participating at the Postal Park are kept for public display. This year also the participating floats of social organizations will be kept for public display near Sir Dorabji Tata Park on March 3-4.
