Why Game of Thrones Creators Writing Star Wars Might Be a Bad, Bad Idea
PS4-exclusive God of War release date is April 20. Aside from the standard edition of the game that costs Rs. 3,999, there are two special variants, the God of War Collector's Edition and God of War Limited Edition. Both versions of God of War will be coming to India in addition to the standard edition, Gadgets 360 has learned.
This marks the first time during the PS4's lifecycle in India that Sony has decided to bring collector's or special edition versions of a game. During the PS3 era this was plentiful, in no small part thanks to its aggressive distributor, the erstwhile Milestone Interactive.
Pre-orders for God of War Collector's Edition and God of War Limited Edition are now up at select retail outlets offline. We've been able to verify that game stores in Mumbai and Delhi have already started taking pre-orders. Safe to say others across the country have followed suit with pre-orders slated to go online soon. Here's what you need to know.
God of War Collector’s Edition
The God of War Collector’s Edition is not too dissimilar to the God of War Stone Mason Edition that leaked prior for the US. It comes with digital content such as Death’s Vow Armour Set, Exile’s Guardian Shield, Dark Horse Comic, and a dynamic theme. The God of War Collector's Edition price is Rs. 9,490. Physical contents include:
God of War Limited Edition
Much like the God of War Collector’s Edition, it comes with digital extras. These include Death Vow’s Armour Set, Exile’s Guard Shield, and a dynamic theme. The God of War Limited Edition price is Rs. 4,999. It also comes with the following physical contents:
The God of War Stone Mason Edition is exclusive to the US. However, most of its contents such as the statue, steelbook, cloth map, and lithograph are a part of the God of War Collector's Edition. There are some physical extras like the Stone Mason's ring, Mimir's head talking keychain, 2-inch horse and troll carvings. It also has the Defender of the Chosen Shield that appears to be digital content only available with the God of War Stone Mason Edition as well. Considering it costs just as much as the God of War Collector's Edition before customs charges or trouble involved in getting something so big into the country for a few small additions makes it one to avoid in our opinion. More so with the God of War Collector's Edition coming to India officially.
Both these editions should be available in India from God of War's release date of April 20. However, in the past, these bigger variants from Sony have faced delays of up to a week. Most notably with Infamous 2 and Killzone 3 for the PS3 back in the day which sported a statue and a full-sized helmet respectively. Hopefully Sony India ensures all versions of the game are out on April 20. More so with a rumoured midnight launch planned for the title. Gadgets 360 has gotten in touch with Sony India for comment and will update this story if we hear from the company.
