Mahamastakabhisheka: SWR generates Rs 45.71 L revenue

Owing to the Mahamastakabhisheka to the statue of Bahubali in Shravanabelagola, the South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, has garnered a revenue of Rs 45,71,591 from Hassan station alone, during the period of 21 days.

The railways had made arrangements for Mahamastakabhisheka at Hassan Railway Station.

During this period, 14 additional unreserved ticketing system counters, along with eight automatic ticket vending machines, and two coin operating ticket vending machines were installed and four additional passenger reservation system counters were set up at Hassan station.

The railways also provided additional daily eight pairs of special trains between Hassan-Yeswantpur (Via Shravanabelagola), one long-distance special train between Miraj-Hasan-Miraj.

According to the authorities, around 1,09,257 passengers travelled during the Mahamastakabhisheka from Hassan station alone.
