Bitcoin purchases remain rare relative to cash and credit cards. Many Bitcoin holders value the volatile digital currency more for investments rather than a day-to-day purchases. But Bitcoin fans are finding they can convert their crypto cash into anything from a car to marijuana growing supplies. Drew Crum accepts the currency at his garden supply store near Portland Oregon. His tablet communicates with customer Jeff Hanzlik's phone to complete the transaction. A 288 dollar sale is translated into point-zero-thirty-three Bitcoins. Hanzlik pays a "miner fee" of about a quarter to help keep the system running.
