'Assam-Arunachal border dispute to be resolved soon'

ITANAGAR: Assam irrigation, textile and handloom minister Ranjit Dutta on Monday expressed confidence that the decades-old boundary dispute between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be resolved soon through meaningful dialogue between both the BJP-ruled states.

While participating at the Nyokum Yullo festival of the Nyishi community at Nyokum Lapang festival ground here, Dutta said, "Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has been initiating measures to resolve the issue with his Arunachal counterpart Pema Khandu and soon the elected representatives will sit together for finding a permanent solution."
