Parents in the US are worried about their children's use of smartphones

In a recent study by non-profit Common Sense Media, nearly half of the adults surveyed said that their children exhibited addictive behavior in their use of a smartphone. But parents were split on whether or not new technologies are actually harming the mental health of children. As this chart by Statista show s, 50% of the parents surveyed were worried about their child's smartphone use and its effect on their mental health.
However, parents were far more in agreement when it came to determining whose responsibility it is to curb a child's cellphone use: 89% said that it was up to parents to decide when their kids have spent enough time on a device.
