Embracing Challenge is Blitz Media Design's focused program designed to help developmental disabilities providers attract and retain more Direct Support Professionals. It helps nonprofits get off the hamster wheel of finding, hiring, and then losing staff.
Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) February 27, 2018
Blitz Media Design has created a new "Embracing Challenge" program for developmental disabilities providers to attract and retain more Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
DSPs work directly with people who have physical and/or intellectual disabilities, and while the demand for DSPs is high, providers struggle to attract applicants. As a result of many hours of interviews combined with 20 years experience helping Developmental Disabilities (DD) nonprofits with marketing, Blitz Media Design has developed the Embracing Challenge program to help solve this challenge.
Common challenges for DD nonprofits include:
Embracing Challenge helps providers develop a more effective communication strategy to motivate more applicants and support existing Human Resource department efforts. It is not an employment service or automated tool or long-term contract program. In the first two months it will create a communication strategy customized for the provider's use on websites, job sites, job fairs, and similar that will motivate more people to apply. It also provides new ideas for employee retention that do not rely on increasing hourly wages for DSPs.
Embracing Challenge has already helped Blitz Media Design clients. According to the director of the Resident Home Association of Greater Dayton, Peter J. Roll, "Before we worked with Craig and Scott, almost no one applied on our website. Thanks to their process, we came up with an approach that produced 84 online applications within seven months!"
