Two-hour shooting at Edappally station brings in ₹2.36 lakh for KMRL

Kochi metro’s Edappally station turned venue for the shooting of a song sequence for a Telugu movie, Lover, on Monday. The two-hour shooting made Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) richer by ₹2.36 lakh. A sum of ₹1 lakh is the hourly fee for film shooting in stations, while ₹36,000 was charged as GST. Passengers were not inconvenienced in any way, said KMRL. Permitting film shooting is part of KMRL’s alternative revenue generation modes, since the income from the sale of tickets is insufficient for the metro’s operation and maintenance.

The film has actors Raj Tarun and Riddi Kumar, and is directed by Aneesh Krishna. Raju Sundaram is the choreographer.
