Refined soya oil futures remain weak, shed 0.09% on low demand

Refined prices drifted lower by 0.09 per cent to Rs 752.35 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in reducing their exposure, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined for delivery in March month fell by 65 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 752.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 31,120 lots. Similarly, the for delivery in April contracts was trading lower by 55 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 757.60 per 10 kg in 30,180 lots. Analysts said offloading of positions by participants on the back of easing demand in the physical market against ample stocks position kept refined prices down in futures trade.
