How can I change the way my boyfriend dresses? He is a slob and it reflects badly on me because my friends think I'm dating a loser. Are you with him to impress your friends? If he's comfortable with what he wears, why change that? Didn't you decide to go out with him despite what he was wearing? Tell him how you feel, but don't expect him to change if your reasons aren't good enough. I was in love with a guy for two years, even though we didn't actually date. We were very close friends, and I think I gave him enough hints about my feelings for him, but he never reciprocated, and eventually went out with someone else. He ended that relationship a few months ago, and has been giving me hints about possibly going out with me. I don't know how to react to this because it makes me feel as if I'm some rebound girl for him. He had a chance to go out with me earlier and didn't, so I don't want him to assume he can just snap his fingers whenever he likes and I will come running to him. Should I go out with him? I don't know if I have the same feelings for him, to be honest, because it's been so long since we were that close.
I suggest you spend some time with him and figure out how you really feel. A lot of hints you may have given him may have failed to register, simply because he wasn't looking for them. How a person looks at someone else also changes and evolves with time. You don't have to get into a relationship with him because, as you pointed out, you may just not feel the same way about him anymore. If you're curious though, a cup of coffee can't hurt, if only to give you both a chance to get to know each other better and re-evaluate the relationship you once had.
