Even as the whereabouts of the missing All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar MBBS student Suhail Aijaz are still unknown, his father Aijaz on Monday appealed to him not to do anything which would bring disrepute to their family.
Aijaz, who has come here to search for his son, fearing that he might, like many other educated Kashmiris, have been lured into the fold of terror outfits, said in tearful eyes that his son should not do anything which is anti-national and snowball into a big issue bringing disrepute to his family.
It may be mentioned that many youths of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir, where Suhail belongs, have fled from their homes and joined the ranks of Jehadi outfits and picked up arms against the Indian Government.
Stay away from terror outfits, urges father
Sources said the Bhubaneswar Commissionerate police have informed the Central Intelligence Bureau and the National Investigative Agency (NIA) about the incident.
Police Commissioner YB Khurania said, “We are sharing information with different agencies. We have informed the police of other States and circulated his photograph. Hope that we would get some lead soon.”
