The State Government has made budget provision of Rs 32 crore in fiscal year 2018-19, for providing additional commission and financial aid to 12 ,300 ration shops under Public Distribution System (PDS).
Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Minister Punnulal Mohile informed that for the first time budget provision for providing monthly commission and assistance to ration shops, with less allotments in backward and scheduled tribe areas of state, has been made.
Under this, shops of rural areas with less than 50 quintal allotment will be provided Rs 8,000 every month, and shops of urban areas will be provided Rs 9,000.
