The government has increased the number of cities where the NEET examination will be conducted this year to make it easier for the students to reach the venues.
Now, the examination will be conducted in 150 cities instead of 107.
In a tweet, Human Resource Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar said, all the cities from where four thousand and more candidates have applied and which were not the centres in 2017 have been added as centre cities for the NEET examination.
The new centres have been set up in states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. This year, the NEET will be held on the 6th of May.
