The Yogi Government has decided to fill vacant class IV posts in non-government aided secondary schools across Uttar Pradesh through outsourcing and also appointed an agency to scout candidates.
In a statement issued inLucknow on Monday, Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education, Sanjay Agarwal said that directives have been issued to all principals and District Inspectors of Schools to fill vacant posts of peon and other helpers faling under class IV category through outsourcing.
“The candidates should be outsourced through UP Small Scale Industries Corporation, Kanpur which has been named as Manpower Outsourcing Agency. Principals of schools and the agency will enter into 11-month contracts and the same can be renewed at the pleasure and contest of both parties,” Agarwal said in his statement.
The salary of the contractual class IV employees will be decided by UP Small Scale Industries Corporation (Kanpur) which will be in congruence with the minimum wages of workers declared by Labour Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh. The agency is also liable to charge maximum 10 per cent of the salary of employees as Service Charge.
Agarwal clarified that the appointed employees will not be treated as employees of Secondary Education department and will be under the control of Principals and respective schools would hire their services for just 11 months.
