After missing the last 42 games with a torn ligament in his left wrist, Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap could be back on the court Tuesday night.

The Nuggets upgraded Millsap, who required surgery in November to correct the issue, to questionable as they host the Los Angeles Clippers.

"We'll see. We'll see," he told reporters when asked if he'll play. "It is pretty much a game-time decision. I'm feeling good right now and I'm ready to go."

Millsap said he still doesn't have full range of motion in the wrist, on which he wore a heavy pad during Tuesday's shootaround, but he thinks he can help the team's defense, which ranks last in the league in points allowed per 100 possessions (116.1) during February. Offensively, he envisions a slightly less active role, hoping not to disrupt a unit that has scored 117.6 points per 100 possessions (2nd in the NBA) over the same span.

"I envision just standing in the corner and get out of guys' way," Millsap said. "...Hopefully I get in and I don't mess it up."

The Denver Post reported last week the 33-year-old will likely return initially as a substitute. Wilson Chandler and Will Barton have started at forward in each of the team's last nine games.

Millsap is averaging 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 16 contests since signing a three-year, $90 million contract last summer. His three-month absence is by far the longest of his career, as he had never missed more than 18 games in a season over his first 11 campaigns.

At 33-27, the Nuggets hold a one-game lead over the Clippers, who have played two fewer games, for the eighth seed in the West.
