The ‘Make in India’ mantra appears to have taken a lead in the just completed three-day CII Partnership Summit and Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Investment Meet, with the industry sector signing up 129 MoUs promising an investment of about ₹58,337 crore and employment generation of around 1.31 lakh.
Following the industry sector, is the infrastructure and investment sector with 22 MoUs and investment close to ₹45,981 crore and employment of around 3.86 lakh.
The investment promised in the IT and Electronics sector is about ₹30,050 crore from 75 MoUs and employment of 1.3 lakh.
The total MoUs signed during the three days is 734 with a projected investment of ₹ 4.39 lakh crore and 11.02 lakh employment generation.
While the investment promised in the mining sector is around ₹12,227 crore (31 MoUs), in tourism it is ₹5,002 crore (49 MoUs), health and medical ₹5,090 crore and food processing it is ₹3,100 crore (165 memorandums of understandings).
