Sterlite Technologies surges on Indian Navy order

Sterlite Technologies surged on Indian Navy order. The stock jumped as much as 10.36 per cent to Rs 378.85, its highest since February 2.

The company has got a Rs 3,500-crore ($541.13 million) advance purchase order to design, build and manage the Indian Navy’s communications network.

The stock posted its highest intraday percentage gain since January 4. Up to Friday’s close, the stock had risen 17.35 per cent this year compared with a 2.52 per cent decline in the Nifty 500 index.
