Sridevi dies at 54: Did Dubai police take Boney Kapoor's statement for over 3.5 hours?

The Dubai police have recorded Boney Kapoor's statement in connection with his wife Sridevi's sudden demise, PeepingMoon.com reports. It was Boney who reportedly found Sridevi lying motionless in a bathtub filled with water, although some reports contest this claim.

Apparently, Boney went over the details of the tragedy with four senior police officials. He spoke with them for three-and-a-half hours and his statement was recorded on camera as well.

The police is also said to have taken the statements of three other people who were with Boney when Sridevi was brought to the Rashid Hospital. These three people were reportedly called by him when he found Sridevi's lifeless body. The statements of two doctors and five attendants from the hospital have also been taken.

Sridevi passed away in Dubai after suffering a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. Her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor said that she had no history of heart disease, and that her sudden demise came as a shock.

According to sources, a death certificate has already been issued and the process of repatriation is expected to begin anytime now.
