NCERT syllabus to be cut by half from 2019 session: HRD minister

In an attempt to reduce exam-related pressure and stress on students and free up their time for activities other than academics, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said that the current NCERT school syllabus will be halved from the 2019 session.
