Minister for Endowments A. Indrakaran Reddy has said the Endowments Department was taking measures to provide all facilities for the devotees visiting Sri Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam in Kondagattu for the Hanuman jayanthi celebrations on March 31 and May 10 respectively.
The Minister along with Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar, Choppadandi legislator Bodige Shoba and others participated in the ground breaking ceremony for the laying of steps from the foothills to the temple shrine at a cost of ₹2.5 crore and mala viramana centre for devotees at a cost of ₹2.5 crore at the Kondagattu temple shrine on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government had sanctioned ₹6.11 crore for the construction of sump to store 10 lakh litres of water to meet the pilgrims’ demand. Stating that the government was according priority to temples in the Telangana, he said that the government had sanctioned ₹400 crore for Vemulawada temple shrine and ₹25 crore for Kaleshwaram shrine.
He also said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao would be visting Dharmapuri temple shrine on March 5 to offer prayers. Later, Minister for Finance Etala Rajender also visited the temple shrine and offered prayers. Temple EO Amarender and others were also present.
