Cape Town - Former Masters champion Danny Willett will be participating at this week's Tshwane Open, which is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Sunshine Tour.

Willett hasn't gotten his season off to a good start, after a shoulder injury forced him to bring a premature end to his season late last year.

The Englishman, ranked at No 210 in the world rankings, has missed the cut in his previous three European Tour events.

This is the first time Willett will return to the Tshwane Open since 2014 - where he retired hurt.

However the-five time European Tour winner be hoping to recreate his 2013 tied for fifth showing then played at the Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate in Centurion.

South Africa's Dean Burmester is the defending champion after romping to his first European Tour win by three-strokes. He will not be defending his title.

The Tshwane Open tees off on Thursday at the Pretoria Country Club.
