Thundershowers hit parts of state, mercury down

RANCHI : Thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds were experienced in isolated parts of Jharkhand on Sunday evening.

The IMD's Ranchi office said Daltonganj experienced thunder-squall accompanied by winds blowing at speeds up to 55 kilometers per hour. "Around 7.2 mm rain was recorded and temperature dropped by 13.8 degree Celsius," the met office said.


Parts of Ranchi district also experienced thunder-squall with maximum wind-speeds of 28 km per hour.


The weather office on Sunday morning had issued alerts for cloud cover and possible light rains in isolated parts of Jharkhand.
