BENGALURU: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) Managing Director Mahendra Jain on Sunday declared open the first salon at Trinity Metro station. The Hyderabad-based unisex salon chain Sooper Xpress threw open its doors to Metro commuters in the evening.  Speaking on the occasion, Jain said, “This service would be useful for office-goers to stop over at Metro stations enroute to work or while returning from work.”

The Metro MD was among the first customers to avail of the 10-minute haircut service offered here.
Sridevi Reddy, salon proprietor, was delighted with the response on the first day. “We had invited many through Facebook to come over. We started having customers coming in even before the formal inauguration took place in the evening,” she said.

The group plans to open its services at MG Road, Indiranagar, Baiyappanahalli and Mahalakshmi Layout Metro stations soon.  U A Vasanth Rao, Chief Public Relations Officer, BMRCL, said, “We are also trying our best to popularise this new concept of a salon inside our premises. BMRCL is keen they do well in our stations.”
