Indeed, the job site, is set to host ‘Indeed Explore’ – its global knowledge series, with its Indian edition spanning two days across the cities of Gurugram and Bengaluru from February 27-28, 2018. A free event series designed to empower recruiters to make the best hires; Indeed Explore conducts a total of 115 sessions worldwide across 52 cities, with an in-house team of recruitment experts sharing data-driven insights and providing solutions to the common challenges of talent search and hiring. The Indian segment of the series will be driven by localized insights, where Indeed takes a look at attributes unique to the Indian labour market.
Indeed’s APAC Director of Employer Insights, Mr. Mark Reilly, will expand on the subject of job seeker decision-making, in order to demonstrate why establishing a connection with candidates early on in the recruiting process is so essential. The key focus of the event will be on how to bring in the human element to hiring. The talk will address the various issues and challenges encountered in hiring and offer solutions towards engaging rising talent; thus facilitating an ideal match between the applicant’s skills and the proffered job role, while simultaneously working towards bridging the gap between the employer’s requirements and the job seeker’s skills.
Commenting on the same, Mr. Sashi Kumar, Managing Director, Indeed India, said, “We are delighted to bring the Indian leg of Explore to recruiters, and hope to have a stimulating discussion on the role of human intervention in the hiring process, and what it means for us as recruiters given the rapid advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the field. Having observed the local job market in the past, we at Indeed understand what the Indian job seeker wants, and hence can offer insightful advice on how best recruiters can build a connect with them. While there are newer challenges to be faced, and new roles to adapt to, it is safe to say that no amount of mechanization and technological prowess can replace the human factor. The ultimate goal is one of seamless synchronization, where technology helps in streamlining the various processes involved, leaving recruiters with more time to devote to the building the human connect in hiring.”
The key objective of this year’s Explore is to enable hiring managers to create and implement a more human candidate experience, thus creating a community within their companies, giving rise to more holistic workplaces.
In the months to come, Indeed Explore will be held in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and many more cities in India.
