Nobel laureate Satyarthi felicitated
The Niladrivihar Youth and Cultural Association (NYCA) felicitated Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr Kailash Satyarthi here on Saturday.
Dr Satayarthi urged the youth community to work for a child-centered society and safety and security of the children on a priority basis. He too called upon them to create awareness among people to stop the unethical practice of child labour completely and to bring them to the mainstream of the society.
He lauded the social welfare, cultural activities and other programmes and discussed various problems faced by children and their solutions. Among others, association president Dr Prakash Chandra Panigrahi, general secretary Biswajit Pattnaik, Eastern Media Ltd MD Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Odisha Nagarika Samaj secretary Srinivas Mohanty and Dr Bhabani Prakash were present.
