Accused carried a reward of ₹1lakh on any information leading to his arrest

The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested an alleged inter-State supplier of illegal arms and ammunition who carried a reward of ₹one lakh from Sarai Kale Khan, the police said on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off stating that the accused Shripal Singh, 29, will come to Delhi to meet his associates on Saturday, a trap was laid. Following this, he was caught near Barapullah flyover. Twenty live ammunition of .32 bore were recovered from him, said P.S. Kushwah, DCP (Special Cell).

In November last year, the Special Cell had arrested two alleged ammunition suppliers Mahipal and Sandeep Yadav who had revealed the names of Prempal and Shripal and called them as “main suppliers” of ammunitions to the criminals in Delhi NCR, the police said. Prempal was nabbed in January, 2017, added the officer.
