PANAJI: The health condition of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is being treated at the Goa Medical College hospital for dehydration, is stable.
Parrikar was admitted to the Bambolim hospital following weakness and fever on late Sunday evening.
GMC sources informed that Parrikar was responding well to the treatment and has been kept under observation. “He has no fever now,” they added.
The Chief Minister’s office informed on Monday evening that Parrikar was admitted on Sunday to the GMC for mild dehydration, and is now recuperating.
“He is likely to be discharged soon and will resume work thereafter,” the CMO statement said. The Chief Minister, who had earlier been admitted to the Mumbai-based Lilavati Hospital for pancreatic ailment was discharged on February 22, and returned to Goa same morning.
Later in the day, he presented a truncated budget for the next financial year, in the state legislative assembly, and since then has been mostly taking rest at his residence.
Large number of supports and followers of Parrikar as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party workers were seen outside the hospital, throughout the day.
