Jagan promises Madiga Corporation if YSRC forms government in AP

VIJAYAWADA:YSRC party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday announced that he would form Madiga Corporation once his party forms government in the State.

The Leader of the Opposition, who is currently in Prakasam district as part of his 3000-km plus ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’, interacted with Kommuri Kanaka Rao Madiga, the state convenor of Madiga Corporation Sadhana Samithi along with other state leaders of the community near Kambalapadu in Markapuram constituency.

When Kanaka Rao explained about the backwardness of their community and what Usha Mishra Commission had recommended, Jagan assured him that once his government is formed, a separate corporation would be formed for the Madiga community.

Jagan, on the 97th day of his walkathon, crossed 1,300 km of his walkathon at Nandamarella village of Kanigiri mandal in Prakasam district. He walked a total of 15.3 km on Sunday. He interacted with people from various sections of the society along the route.

Farmers met him and explained their woes, while employees met him and elaborated on why they are opposing Contributory Pension Scheme. They were assured by Jagan that he will do justice to them once he forms government.

Later, at Edavalli Cross Road, a visually-challenged man met him under the banner of AIDRF and explained about their problems.
