Shabana Azmi, who was among the first few celebrities to arrive at Anil Kapoor's residence to offer her condolences, has cancelled her annual Holi celebrations. Taking to Twitter, Shabana issued a statement that she has cancelled the Holi party in the wake of her friend's passing. The note read, “Our Holi party at Janki Kurir stands cancelled on 2nd March in the wake of Sridevi's passing.”
There will never be another Sridevi. I was about to approach her for a film. That film will now be dedicated to her. If it finds an actor.
“It was heart-wrenching. This is not the age,” was Amol Palekar’s reaction when he heard the news of Sridevi’s sudden demise on Sunday.

Sridevi will always remain alive in my memory. It feels awkward to speak of her in the past tense. We have lost the biggest star of our country. I still cannot believe it. It will take many years to register what has actually happened
