Artists display at artists meet at Vertus Art Space

An artists meet was organised here on Sunday, wherein the artists of the city interacted with each other and showcased their works. The event was held at Vertus Art Space on Sunday.

The eye pleasing art of city artists was on display at Vertus Art Space. The exhibition showcased different forms of art i.e. abstract to figurative at one place. It is to be noted that the seven artists who were awarded at the 7th Bharat Bhavan Biennial of Contemporary Indian Art were inivited for the artists meet.

Artists like Faiza Huma, Lado Bai, Rajesh Amblakar, Neeraj Ahirwar, Ramesh Singh Urveti, Anil Gaikwad and Shampa Shah were the part of the event. All the artists expressed their contentment of being honoured by legendry artist Sudhir Patwardhan.

Anil Gaikwad while expressing his view points said, “I am active in the field of art for the past 17 years and have done a lot of landscapes. I was very close to nature since childhood. I enjoyed the beauty of nature and painted it on canvas using earthen colours.”

Shampa Shah is known to be well-known ceramist of the city. She also shared her views. She said that art depends on the perception of an artist. Sometimes it is not pre-decided what to create but, art is created through the colours of your mood.

On the other hand, Lado Bai says that youngsters are now taking interest in tribal art and are learning its various forms. The artists also talked about the changing perceptions of artists as well as the viewers.

Beautifully created art works enthralled the spectators at the gallery. Not only this, the spectators received a chance to have a close look at various art forms in various versions under one roof.
