1,847 ‘wanted’ persons arrested in Operation Broken Window

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A total of 1,847 persons included in the ‘wanted’ list of criminals have been arrested in a special enforcement drive led by Thiruvananthapuram range IG Manoj Abraham.
Moreover, as many as 300 persons were taken into preventive detention, under the police’s drive titled ‘Operation Broken Window’.

The special drive began on February 16 to curb the anti-social and criminal activities in the region. In a statement, Manoj Abraham said around 16 NDPS cases had been registered in just one week and the accused in the 64 long-pending unsolved cases had been arrested.Three persons were arrested under the Kerala Anti-social activities ( Prevention) Act and 3,752 suo motu cases have been registered.The drive will be intensified in the coming days, he said in the statement.
