Earlier, the Superintendent of SCBMCH, in a letter, had urged the committee to remove all private hoardings from in and outside the hospital to facilitate them in launching the awareness drive.
Sources said the private hoardings, banners and flexes put up illegally by business houses, political parties, private hospitals and educational institutes in and around the SCBMCH is affecting the sanctity of the Government-run premier hospital of the State.

Acting on the letter, all private hoardings have already been removed from the premises of SCBMCH and steps are being taken to clear it from outside of the campus, said ACP (Traffic) PK Dalali.

As per the decision, Cuttack Municipal Corporation(CMC) authorities will clear all the illegal hoardings and unauthorised vendors near the SCBMCH campus within a month. Then, the hospital authorities will put up the hoardings highlighting different health and family welfare schemes and programmes of the governments.
