Launching an all out attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday questioned why the self-proclaimed “chowkidar” of the country was mum on the Punjab National Bank fraud and corruption allegations against BJP chief Amit Shah’s son Jay. Accusing the PM of favouring industrialists, Gandhi said despite the Centre hardselling its “zero corruption” stand, there was no Lokpal appointed to fight graft. “Whatever you do, you do it for people like Nirav Modi. You give thousands of crores money to super rich people in the country; while in Karnataka we give seven kg rice at free of cost to the poor,” he said at a rally in Karnataka’s Ramadurga area.
Quoting 12th century social reformer Basaveshwara, Gandhi, who is on the second leg of his three-day tour of the poll-bound state, said, “Modiji… nudidante nade (practice what you preach). The country has not made you prime minister just to give speeches.”

He is like a dead horse being flogged to ensure the Gandhi legacy continues. Congress has no dearth of eligible options who can head the party to the next century but the dynastical forces are bent on destroying whatever is left of the party. If you ask me I have already written off Congress long ago. Now coming back to our new found Congress party president, He has no clue when to open his mount and when to shut up. His un-parliamentary language shows how poorly ready he is on Indian politics. He seems to be doing lip service for all the back benchers of Congress who ensure they pull the strings as and when it suits their personal goals. We cannot rule out the fact that a lot of good also has been done, but their history has been marred with scams running in billions over the ages. 'Karnataka government has increased Electricity Generation Capacity from 13,000 MW in 2013 to nearly 22,000 MW now. An increase of more than 9000 MW in just five years,' says Rahul Gandhi at Saundatti.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attacked BJP chief Amit Shah on Monday over farm loan waivers and accused the Central government for neglecting farmers for the past 3.5 years.
Speaking on the Vyapam scam, Rahul Gandhi said, "The Vyapam scam has destroyed the education system in Madhya Pradesh and the BJP government is responsible for it."
Speaking at his second rally of the day at Karnataka's Saundatti area, Congress President Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP over the Rafale deal. "The defence minister was in Goa and buying fish when PM Modi was in France inking the Rafale deal. He didn't even know about the agreement," Gandhi said, in an apparent reference to Manohar Parrikar.

"As Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi didn't appoint Lokayukta. It’s been four years as PM, but still there is no Lokpal. Modi ji ‘Nudidanthe Nade’, Walk the Talk! People didn’t elect you as PM for just delivering speeches," says Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi ends his address at the public gathering at the Godchi Temple Ground, Ramdurg. He will now visit Shri Yellamma Renuka Devi Temple in Belgaum.
"Our schemes are for farmers, laborers, and millions of marginalised. The BJP's schemes are only for a few specific rich industrialists. I, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the entire party will stand with you and will work for you," says Rahul Gandhi.
Narendra Modi made a lot of promises but he did not fulfill even one. On the other hand, we (Congress) did what we said. I am sure that Congress will again form the government in Karnataka.
"PM Modi promised 'Make in India', 'Stand Up India', 'Beti Bachao...' schemes but have any of these promises been met? The UPA Government spent 35,000 crores for MGNREGA. The same amount was spent by BJP Government for one single Tata Nano factory," says Rahul Gandhi.
“Demonetisation was a scheme to convert black money of rich people to white. Poor and middle class people stood in queues and deposited their money in banks. Cronies like Nirav Modi looted it and ran away right under the nose of ‘Chowkidaar’ Modi'," says Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public gathering in Ramdurg
"We gave jobs to crores of people, we changed their lives. But Narendra Modi gave all the money to big industrialists. Whatever Modi ji does, he does for people like Nirav Modi. He gave thousands of crores of rupees to rich people like Nirav Modi," he added.
“To continue the good work that the state government is doing, we are undertaking this yatre to seek your blessings. Our pro-people schemes have touched nearly every citizen of Karnataka," says Dr. Parameshwara, KPCC President at Ramdurg where Rahul Gandhi will be addressing a public meeting in a short while.
Amit Shah, who is also in Karnataka, continues his tirade against the Congress government in the state. "Karnataka government has failed on all fronts. Corruption cases are on a rise. Corruption and Siddaramaiah have become synonymous," ANI quoted the BJP president as saying while addressing a presser in Kalaburagi.
"The manner in which all cases against PFI (Popular Front of India) and SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) have been withdrawn, shows the unidirectional action by Siddaramaiah government, " he added.
Meanwhile, BJP president Amit Shah on Monday offered prayers at the offered prayers at Sri Kshethra Malakheda Temple in Kalaburagi. BS Yeddyurappa was also present with him.
