BENGALURU: Accusing the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi of spreading misinformation about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national general secretary in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka, Muralidhar Rao, on Sunday described it as a diversionary tactic to cover up the failures of Siddaramaiah government.

“Rahul Gandhi has no courage to reply to the questions raised by the BJP pertaining to the collapse of law and order, democracy being in danger in Karnataka as Siddaramaiah government has turned into Goonda Raj, mal-administration, killing of innocent youths by anti-national elements, and thousands of farmers’ suicides in Congress regime. This might invite the wrath of the people in the coming assembly elections. The Siddaramaiah government is in exit mode. That is why Rahul has adopted diversionary tactics,” Muralidhar Rao said.

Rao challenged Rahul for a debate on 60 years of Congress rule and four years of Modi regime. He urged Rahul to give a “credible and convincing explanation” about the “Goonda Raj” prevailing in the state due to the alleged high-handedness and an attitude of extra-constitutional authority of the ruling Congress MLAs and their supporters.

Rahul questions Modi’s role as prime minister

Mudhol: Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AICC president Rahul Gandhi charged that country’s ‘Pradhan Choukidar’ should explain how Nirav Modi left the nation ‘under his nose’ after looting public money. On second day of Janaashirwada Yatra, Rahul further stepped up attack on Modi government on corruption and for not delivering on promises.

Wherever he addressed the public he targeted Modi using famous sayings of Basavanna, the 12th century social reformer, ‘Nudidante Nade’ (walk the talk) and ‘Kayakave Kailasa (work is worship). Calling the Modi government as pro-corporate, Rahul Gandhi said it has no problem with writing off K1.4 lakh crore loan of the industrialists. but thinks waiving of farmers’ loan would hurt the economy.
