The United States has said, any dialogue with North Korea must have nuclear disarmament as the end goal. In a statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said there is a brighter path available for Pyongyang if it chooses denuclearisation.
She said, the US administration has been trying to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula permanently and verifiable and that it will wait and see if the message represents the first step toward denuclearization. The statement came after a high-level North Korean delegation to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics told South Korean President Moon Jae-in that the country is fully ready to talk with the United States.
The head of North Korea's visiting delegation said Pyongyang-US relations must develop along with the South-North Korea relationship.
