ONGC triumphs in PSPB inter unit Kabaddi tourney

PUNE: Best raider Deepak Narwal and Joginder stood firm and attacked with confidence as the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) defeated Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) 36-28 to lift the XXIII PSPB inter-Unit Kabaddi title at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana here over the weekend.

The ONGC led 15-9 at half-time and the eventual Man-of-the-Series Joginder’s attacking game meant there was no room for Bharat Petroleum to catch up in the later stages of the match.

In the play-off for the third place, MRPL defeated CPCL 31-12 after leading 19-8 at halftime.

Final: ONGC bt BPCL 36-28.
Third-place play-off: MRPL bt CPCL 31-12.
