It seems like we won’t be seeing the launch of the Moto G6 series of phones at MWC. While previous reports had suggested that the company may launch new phones at the event, however that will not be the case. It is not yet known when the company will launch the devices.
Moto’s G6 series is expected to include a total of 3 devices, namely the Moto G6 Play, G6 Plus and the standard G6. All three phones are expected to sport an 18:9 display aspect ratio. Noted leakster, Evan Blass recently revealed that codenames of the upcoming devices. The G6 Play is apparently codenamed Ashley, while the Moto G6 Play and G6 Plus are codenamed Blaine and Teller respectively. The Moto G6 Plus is also tipped to be available in five colour variants, namely Gold, White, Blue, Silver and Cyan. It is not yet known if the other two devices will be available in the same colour variants.
Moto recently launched its current flagship phone, the Z2 Force in India, at Rs 34,999. The phone sports a 5.5-inch QHD POLED display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The device comes with a dual-rear camera setup with two 12MP units. At the front, there is a 5MP cameras. The highlight of the phone is the screen, which features the company’s ShatterShield technology. Further, since the phone is apart of the company's Z series, it is compatible with all of the company’s Moto Mods.
