Acting on doctor's advice, did not go down too well for a Doordarshan employee in Pune- who has been booked for hurting religious sentiments. Why? For sunbathing naked at Sinhagad fort.
The police on Saturday arrested a 52-year-old on complaints filed by a group of trekkers and cleaners who work at the fort. According to a mid-day report, the Doordarshan employee was sunbathing nude at the fort and refused to put on clothes, even after being asked to by a group of tourists.
The Haveli police in the district has now booked the man, resident of Wanowari, under Sections 295 A (outraging religious sentiments) and 509 (insulting a woman's modesty) of the IPC.
Mid-day reported that on being prodded, the man reasoned that he was there to get "prescribed" dose of vitamin D, as advised by his doctor.
According to a report by news agency PTI, the man then hurriedly went inside after some people ticked him off for 'hurting their religious sentiments'.
Some of them also shot a video of the incident which went viral on social media.
The 52-yer-old will be produced in court today, a police officer said.
