The gunners looked disjointed from the start and never looked like posing a real threat. For his brilliant performance in the match, skipper Vincent Kompany was awarded the Man of the Match. Reflecting on his team’s win a delighted Kompany said, “Before the game I thought I would score. I’m training well, I’m supporting the lads when I don’t play, and when I do play I give everything I have. I’m really proud of the team. It’s worth every minute of hard work recovering from injury for days like this.” Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger and his side have a lot to think about as they regroup from back to back defeats in Europa League and EFL Cup final.

This time David Silva drills a low one past David Ospina. He makes a brilliant turn in front of the goal and slides the ball into the back of the net from a tight angle. Arsenal defence is in tatters and their fans are already leaving the stadium. City have their hands on the Cup now.
Vincent Kompany scores to double City's lead. Man City have the trophy in a vice-like grip now. Kompany won the corner and then tapped the ball in past a hapless David Ospina.

A minute into the second half and Callum Chambers is booked for a foul on Aguero. Arsenal defenders can ill-afford to get booked early on.
Good 45 minutes for City who are on top but Arsenal are still in the hunt. They must remember that no Premier League team has scored more goals than Arsenal from set-piece situations this season and City are vulnerable to dead-ball deliveries. Ozil vs De Bruyne will be another key battle to watch out for.
