OSRTC buses to stay off roads from Feb 26
All the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) buses would not ply from February 26 to 28, informed the All Odisha State Road Transport Staff Association after a meeting with Commerce and Transport Minister Dr Nrusingha Charan Sahu and Joint Labour Commissioner Upendra Kumar Mohanty here on Saturday.
Association president Nalini Ranjan Pati said the meeting discussed the five demands which had been presented to the State Government earlier. “We have taken the decision for strike as the authorities didn’t take any step to fulfil the demands,” he said.
In the meeting, OSRTC Chairman, General Manager, Labour Department officials, Commerce and Transport Department Special Secretary, Public Enterprise Department Special Secretary and association general secretary Prasanta Kumar Rout and working president Gouranga Maharana and others were present.
